EVENT TITLE : Human Rights Watch International Film Festival

DESCRIPTION : Dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival returns to the Bay Area, presenting films and videos which showcase heroic stories of international activists and survivors. Human Rights Watch, one of the largest US-based international human rights monitoring and advocacy organization continues their outreach with their third festival in the Bay Area. Taking place at the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley from February 7-9, this year offers eight provocative films helping to put a human face on threats to individual freedom and dignity, as well as celebrate the power of the human spirit and intellect to prevail.
